Welcome!
I am Harihara Maharna, a PhD Candidate in Applied and Computational Mathematics at the Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS), University of Notre Dame, IN, USA.
My research focuses on developing structure-preserving deep learning methods for complex fluids problems. I am building the Energetic Variational framework — a thermodynamically consistent approach grounded in the Energetic Variational Approach (EnVarA). I work under the supervision of Dr. Zhiliang Xu.
Previously, I completed my MSc in Mathematics at IISER Thiruvananthapuram, India, working on finite volume methods for Euler system under Dr. K. R. Arun.
